Some of its attractions include ancient monuments, royal capitals and UNESCO-designated World Heritage sites like Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Luang Prabang in Laos , signifying an illustrious past dating back thousands of years. Day 1: HCMC - Can Duoc-My Tho-Cai Be (L/D) Meeting with guide at hotel in HCMC then route for Can Duoc. (35km). On arrival we embark on our boat. Depart for Cho Gao. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong River while enyoying the beautiful scenery. Arrival in Chogao. Walk around the local market. Visit the Thoi Son island, walk through the island, tasting native fruits viewing local handicraft production and meeting the local people. Then take a brief sampan ride through palm-shaded creeks. Then embarking in Mientay. Lunch on board. Then boat departs for Cai Be, the magnificent sunset on the river. Dinner and overnight on board. Day 2: LongXuyen - ChoMoi - HoaHao (B,L,D) After breakfast, explore the lively CaiBe floating market, visit the handicraft village of the locals. Sightsee the old house and sample various tropical fruits. A small boat trip through rivulets of AnBinh, Binh Hoa Phuoc islands. A pleasant walk on the footpaths of the village to discover tropical fruit orchards and a bonsai garden. Boat continues to LONG XUYEN via SADEC, walking tour of Sadec town, where Marguerite Duras' famous novel "Lover" was set and made famous by the film L'Amant. Visit a bonsai garden and the local market.Cruise continues to Longxuyen. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enjoying the beautiful scenery, aperitifs and sunset cruise. Dinner and overnight on board. Day 3 Long Xuyen - Chau Doc (B,L) Engage the daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong river. Breakfast on board. Our small boat will take you to visit f CULAO Ong Ho and the small arroyos on the island and the biggest crocodile farm in the Mekong . Return to the boat for lunch before disembarking. Continue our way to Chaudoc. Visit Lady Xu Temple and Nuisam mountain.Overnight in hotel in Chau Doc. Day 4 Chau Doc - Boat to Phnom Penh (B)
This morning we board our speed boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh . The boat takes us along the Mekong River . It continues on to the Vietnamese (Vinh Xuong) - Cambodian (Kaom Samnar) border and then to Phnom Penh , capital of Cambodia . The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Arrival transfer to our hotel in Phnom Penh , the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia . A visit to Phnom Penh is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia . We will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda and Royal Palace . Overnight in Phnom Penh. Day 5 Phnom Penh boat to Siem Reap (B,D) This morning there will be a transfer to Phnom Penh port for the boat ride to Siem Reap. The boat winds its way on Tonle Sap river, taking in spectacular views of rural life on water. Arrival Siem Reap, transfer to Angkor village resort. Visit to the Angkor Wat Temple before making our way to the summit Phnom Bakheng Temple to enjoy the sunset. Tonight we will enjoy dinner with traditional Khmer folk performance of Apsara. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 6 Siem Reap- Angkor Wat (B,L) Today will embark on an elephant ride to tour Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. This will include the South Gate, Bayon, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. From here we will continue to Bantaey Srei and Bantaey Kdei and especially the newly discovered Beng Mealea temple, the temple of thousand lingas. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 7 Departure (B) Free until your transfer to the airport for departure flight.
